Where We Are

Barabhas and Brù (Barvas and Brue) are crofting townships on the west coast of Lewis, in the Western Isles, Scotland (click here to find us on Multimap), some 10 miles west of the island’s main town Stornoway.

Areas
Barabhas (Barvas) village is made up of seven main areas: Upper Barvas, Lower Barvas, Monard, Park Barvas, The Corners, Heatherhill and Loch Street, covering a road distance of some 4 miles (6.5km).

Brù (Brue) village is made of two areas: Am Baile-stigh (Inner village) nearest the shore and Pairc Bhrù (Park Brue) toward the moor, covering a road distance of some 1.5 miles (2.5km).

The two villages are separated by the Glen Càsgro river and Loch Mòr Bharabhais.
